The University of Denver College Democrats strive to instill Democratic ideals of civic engagement. While focusing on core liberal values, the DU Dems will focus on social justice issues, sustainability, and work to reduce apathy as well as the plethora of areas within which we as active citizens can make a difference.
We have not scheduled meetings for the 2009-2010 academic year, but we will be meeting twice a month.
Next year we hope to continue the great momentum we have worked so hard to build, and shape it into a social movement. Although mid-terms are coming up, we would like to see a culture shift of engagement and service. We would like to help create active and involved citizens that wield their great intellectual power for positive change and social justice. We strive to make a difference.
